Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories and utilizing child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and was awarded several international and national awards. She has provided policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments around the globe. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional organizations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
